Oh, my aching sushi!!!

All right, so summer's over and there are fewer pretty girls in tank tops. But still, if you think about it, we're still better. We are utterly beautiful, talented, intelligent, and amazing girls who don't need to show off skin to feel worthy. Too bad we're too good for you.

Three cheers for winter break!

Well everyone, we survived another December at school! For some reasons teachers believe that since we have finals after break that gives them all an excuse to give us lots to do before break. In other words, I had a research paper and Civil War project for Interdisc, rough draft of a TOK essay, algebra test, chemistry test, and multiple other small (but they add up) assignments. Not to mention the huge holiday choir concert, which basically features Chamber (I was in all but one song in the second act!) and involves many LONG rehearsals. But, I got everything done with not *too* much stress (actually, the thing that caused me the most stress was the concert) and the concert went very well, so all is good.

Yesterday Chamber performed at a luncheon, which we weren't expecting to be very fun because it was for a bunch of old people (no offense) but we ended up having a very enthusiastic audience, and afterwards Mrs. Dingman told us, "Welcome to Chamber Singers." YES! Then we ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant and Chad told the waiter it was Mrs. Dingman's birthday, so they brought flan and made her wear a sombrero. It was hysterical and will definitely go down as a classic Chamber moment.

Today was the second virtual field trip, which was awesome! Sarah was sold as a slave (as was Crousore, hehe) and we did some dancing, which was fun. Oh, and we got hot chocolate AND soda. :o) At lunch I helped with the Interdisc fundraiser for the World Food Program, and I am thrilled to announce that we raised over $1000, and since there are at least two companies that are matching that, our total will be over $3000! That is amazing; we definitely weren't expecting it to be that successful. The $1000 we raised earlier in the year with our walk-a-thon fed 30 children for an entire year, so now we will be helping to feed almost 100 kids. YAY!

My break will mostly be spent alternating between parties, homework (unfortunately I didn't get ALL the projects over with before break), and just hanging out at home. Oh, and sleeping in! Now *that* will be nice...

AH! It's the vicious rabbit! (Who apparently has 3 teeth!)

If the first company matches 1000, we have 2000. Wouldn't the second company have to match THAT, bringing us to 4000? Or does it work that way?

No, they just have to match the original amount that we raised without any companies matching it. But that's still a lot of extra money.
