Oh, my aching sushi!!!

All right, so summer's over and there are fewer pretty girls in tank tops. But still, if you think about it, we're still better. We are utterly beautiful, talented, intelligent, and amazing girls who don't need to show off skin to feel worthy. Too bad we're too good for you.

...And where is everyone?

I never thought I'd say this, but Jane is the only person to have posted recently. Dang. I've been slacking.

I've missed this thing. Actually, I miss how it was in May where everyone was posting a couple times a week and we were all happy and unstressed. Well, we were stressed, but not to the point that we are now. *sigh* Life gets more complicated every day. Ash can't post because she has no Internet access, Olivia can't because of her busy schedule (Choir? Hah! You can have a life outside of choir, too! :P HAHAHA!), YouNa's dad put something on her computer so that she cannot visit foreign (non-Korean) sites, Ali and Jane have Academy crap to do, and I've been running on fumes for months now. Gosh...

We are a pathetic bunch of bloggers, aren't we?

Anyway, yah. I last posted almost a month ago, out of sheer exhilaration following my getting accepted into NHS. What has happened since then? Not much. *sigh* Well, it also doesn't help that I post almost frequently on AM.com and my xanga. Let's see...
- The day after that post I started Japanese lessons. WOO! I absolutely love them!! And the teacher is the sweetest thing on Earth!!! The only prob is that I have only two more sessions left, and then it'll be all over. :( I WANT MORE LESSONS!
- Went to ISSMA in Div. II and got gold. Whoop-dee-doo. Stupidly easy piece, since I ran out of time with the harder piece and had to switch at the last minute.
- Might add that Interdisc STILL rocks.
- "SURPRISE! You're reading your poem today!" Full story from my xanga: First off, I'll tell you about a story of a poem. About three weeks ago, on a Thursday night following my first Japanese lesson, at around one in the morning, a poem was born. Now, it wasn't a great poem or even an inspired poem; it was just hurried through so that the author could get 10 completion points for the assignment. The topic: Black History Month. The length: 3 stanzas. The effort: not much. So, I walk into ID the next day, where we all sit in groups of about 7 or 8 and listen to each other's poems and speeches and then vote on who's was best out of that group. Mine won. Each winner was sent up in the front of the class to read their work, and then we were told to come in at 6:45 one day the next week to all compete in front of a panel of student judges to select one that would be read during the Black History Month kickoff convocation. Mine won. On Tuesday of this week, I found out at 7:30 that the convocation had been changed from Thursday to Tuesday and that I would have to call home for more professional attire than the sweatpants I wore. (I also had on no makeup... The ONE day I don't wear any...) Thus, I missed a physics review day to speak in front of an almost-crowded Little Theatre. As luck would have it, I was first to go. It received a humongous amount of attention from the principal, assisstant principal, teachers, etc. I still am getting compliments from random people in the hallway, and it's Friday!! (It's not that hard to spot a certain lil' pale white girl, apparently.) Of course, having the poem videotaped and broadcast in its entirety on Cat's Eye didn't help much, either. Now, they want to put it up on the bulletin board at church and possibly get it into our local paper. And so the life of the poem continues...
- For those who wish to know, things between Ash and me are slowly improving. For those who didn't know, well, I'm too lazy and busy (if that makes sense) to write it out. Ask someone who knows (Jane, Evan). Ash is leaving tonight for a week-long college thingy out east. She'll be back on the second, and on the fourth I get to go stay overnight in her new house!!! YAY!
- I currently have either an A or an A+ in physics. How I have that, I really don't know, but I'm taking it!!!
- Key Club is my life. I just now realized it.
- I do too much, according to other people. Namely, Catie and Alvin, and they have the support of Mr. White and my parents. So what if I travel all over the state to speak to other Key Clubbers and attend board meetings? And who cares if I spent my Presidents' Day holiday voluteering to do Key Club convention paperwork (organize letters by schools, copy checks, etc. - I held in my hand a $4,560 check!!! I was about to pass out!) from 10 in the morning until afternoon, followed by working on our ID veteran project and violin lessons? I'm fine. I believe I scared Catie and Alvin last Wednesday in physics when I was so tired and under the weather (I had been for a couple weeks) and my voice sounded awful. There was no way I could get behind in ANY of my classes! I had to help my group do a presentation in ID; I THOUGHT I had a PreCal quiz; I had a physics lab to work on; I had the KC board meeting from 5 on Friday to 4 on Sunday (where I got maybe 12 hours of sleep total)... There was absolutely no way. So, I promised Catie I would stay home on Thursday but came anyway, forgetting that I saw her at lunch and in study hall. Suddenly, in the middle of conversation during lunch, her eyes widen and she goes, "WAIT! Why are you here??" Love ya, Catie...

Anyway, I completely skipped studying for PreCal and am now needing to rush to orchestra. Night, y'all!
