Oh, my aching sushi!!!

All right, so summer's over and there are fewer pretty girls in tank tops. But still, if you think about it, we're still better. We are utterly beautiful, talented, intelligent, and amazing girls who don't need to show off skin to feel worthy. Too bad we're too good for you.

"Megamix"

Allo from the Star!

Yep, ya guessed it - I'm job shadowing again. FUN! I got the chance to do the OpEd page (you know, letters to the editor) and some of the Editorial page. YAY! Happy me! :P Plus, I got the opportunity to just play around with some Christmas photos on a dummy page (for those non-journalists, it's a test page to plan your layout). Hee! I'll be here for another... (checks clock) hour or so, and then I'm going with my newspaper mentor (Cori) out to dinner. :) More fun! It's just a really good day.

Then I get to go home and finish "The Patriot" for Interdisc. Not a bad movie... THANKS, ASH! Hee... Long story short, Ash had to lie about her age and say she was 18 to get me the movie. Good girl! ;)

Friday was absolute fun. Jane and Ash came over around 9:30, which is early for us, and we headed over to Castleton to do some SHOPPING! Ash bought herself a tank top and a skirt, Jane bought a skirt for a buck, and I ended up spending all $60 on presents. Of course, Ash did "buy" me a dress for our Christmas party. (Speaking of which, I NEED A HOUSE HOST! Volunteers?) Ali met up with us at Forever 21, and we spent even more time in the mall. Around 4-ish, I convinced Ash to bring all of us over to the Comstocks' to 1) watch Ash and Nathan do their duo and 2) see Levi and Colin. WOO! Now I have "Avec Du Fromage" and "Helen Keller" stuck in my head. :P Then we all came over to my house for a bit, where Ali and Jane were picked up and Ash and I watched "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." (I made sure Ash paid attention this time. ;P) Then Ash, realizing it was 11:30, made a wise decision to stay overnight. (Isn't that how it always is??)

As you can guess, Saturday was another "Ash and me" day. The sad thing is that I can't remember what the heck we did. 0_o?? Oh, well. I've been out of it lately, thanks to about 18 hours of sleep yesterday. Hee!

Yah...This was a boring entry. I'll try to be more entertaining next time. (On that train of thought, I am really inspired to start writing again! You guys - Ali, Jane, Ash - just have to make sure I keep up with it this time!)

Pourquoi?

Don't really want to put everything on here now, but just so that all of you know: Dad flipped. Ask for details. Worried. Depressed. Not to much more to say.

Si vis pacem para bellum.

Good morning all of you loyal readers! I can only say that for the next 5 minutes, because then it becomes afternoon, and saying good morning when it's not morning is Evan's thing. Yeah. If you understood that, you get a gold star.
I stayed with Sarah last night, and so yeah. Better that I did. I had at least one conversation that needed to be had. I know that I feel better, and I hope that he does too.
This morning when I got up, it took me about 5 minutes to figure out where I was. I woke up and looked around and said WHERE THE HECK AM I?????!!!!! Yeah, that's my wonderful Ashley moment. I have those from time to time.
Had an interesting dream the other night and I forgot to put it on here. You all might get a kick out of it. LN was putting on Les Mis as the school musical, and I was Eponine. Nate was Javert, and beyond all logic, William was Marius. We didn't have a Jean ValJean. We didn't have a Cosette either. Go figure. I think that we cut out all their parts, b/c Ms. Means didn't like them or something. I know that we didn't sing any songs with them singing. I remember other people being there, and I think Jonah and Amanda were in the chorus. Anyways, we sing. We dance. Everyone is happy, or at least as happy as they can be for Les Mis characters. Anyways, at the part where Eponine is supposed to die, I don't and instead Javert ends up killing Marius. Then Ms. Means stops us and tells us we all did a nice job and that we can go home now. I end up leaving without stoping to talk to Nathan, Jonah, Amanda, or William, and end up seeing Ms. Routt for whatever reason that she was there. And then, I wake up. Strange, huh?

Mieux vaut faire, et se repentir, Que se repentir, et rien faire.

It's better to do something, and regret it, Than to regret, and do nothing.
Bonjour tout le monde. I am going to go crazy. Why do some people think that they are the most important thing in the world to everyone? I'm not naming any names, but he doesnt' read this, so don't worry that it might be you. Other than being truly frustrated and now in a slightly bad mood, I'm good.
Today was a good day: Went shopping with Jane and Ali and Sarah. Got a really cute top and skirt. Makes me happy. :-D
So yeah. Sorry I don't have too much mnore to say...It was a good day though today. And people: I really hate seeing you all in pain. If there's anything that I can do within reason of course, please tell me. So yeah. Gonna go now!

"Since U Been Gone"

I take it that it's my turn. Of course.

What's new? People are happy. People are sad. People fall in love. People hurt each other. People console other people.

In short, nothing's new. It's what we call November. That's why Thanksgiving is placed where it is - so we can make up things to be thankful for.

Wow. I'm pessimistic. And writing in what I'd call "written staccato." String players will get that.

One more day, and then I am FREE! Can you say "Christmas shopping with Jane and Ali and Ash" on Friday? And movies and junk food and girl talk? Oooh... Me likie. A lot. Nothing as good as a bunch of intelligent, sexy, superficial (AT TIMES! HAHA!) young women going through the mall, pretending to be single/flirting with guys and spending loads of cash. (Fine, fine... Jane and I are the main flirts. It's what we do!)

Yeah. Got that out of my system. Night!

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date. Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd; But thy eternal summer shall not fade Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st; Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Yay for Shakespeare! Okay! Hi! I'm back...sorta. I'm again at Sarah's. Ha! Look! The person who doesn't have a computer that is set up is posting before ALL of you! bwahahaa!

Okay, yeah. It's been a bittersweet weekend. We got 5th in duo and I didn't double in prose, because Whitney's duo partner did not show up and so I gave her my prose spot. Ah well.

Otherwise...yeah...I don't really feel like going into my whole why I'm depressed thing. Deal. If you want to know why I was crying, call me and ask.

Quid non sentit amor?

A very simple version of a line from the Metamorpheses by Ovid. It means, what does love not notice? And is part of the tale of Pyramus and Thisbe.
So yeah, I'm at Sarah's now, but she doesn't know it because she's not here. I just finished writing my English paper for Tuesday. yay for Flannery O'Connor and her use of death!
Let's see...
Took the IU honors test and finished it all. It was really really really really really easy. Especially the reading and grammar. Not so much the listening. Found out that I passed and so yay! I'll hopefully get my app. sometime this week
Also this week I get my app for NHS. That also makes me happy, although I hope it's not too long. IU honor's is about 14 pages that I have to fill out plus 5 recommendations. Yucky! I have 1 for Mrs. Hilgermeier, 1 for another teacher, I've decided Mrs. Wright, 1 for a friend, whoever's not busy when I need it done. I've 3 people I'm going to ask from, 1 for another adult who's not a parent, Mrs. McKenna, and 1 for a parent. *whew*
Otherwise, everything is fairly good. I haven't been upset in a long time and although I could be doing better in Precal, I'm not getting a C. I've been quite happy, happier than I've been in a LONG time. Things feel right. They fit. I'm feeling really good about my relationships with others, and I feel like everything is more or less okay. There's one thing that I am really worried about, but I'll mention it in a minute. TOK is starting to click I think and I understnad more of what I am supposed to do there. With the exception of Precal, my grades are fairly good and I feel more in control of everything. And yes, I've started eating more on the whole.
Speech is going well. Last weekend I got a 5th in Prose and a 4th in duo with Nate. I'm really excited for next weekend's competition.
Okay, on to the thing I am really worried about: It turns out that my mom has a tumor. I've known for about a week now. They're going to start her on some medicinal treatments in December, and if that doesn't shrink it, they are going to operate. And yes, they are fairly sure that it's not cancer, which is good. I'm still really worried though.

Back in the swing of things...

I'm happy to say that I am feeling a lot better now. :) I was outside in the rain (my favorite atmosphere, btw) and it suddenly hit me that I have basically wasted all of the opportunities that have come by me since September. A few days ago, I just felt like I was living the nightmare of middle school again, and when I thought that, I almost had no hope of getting out of my state anytime soon. But now I'm restored to my completely-professional, less-sensitive, workaholic condition. Can I just say THANK GOD???

This is for Jane: I was talking with the Asian girl who likes Ayu, and suddenly she says, "I absolutely love your hair! Is it natural?"

Ha. Ha. Ha. Thought you'd love it.

I've done a bunch of crapping social things this week, and you know what? I'm happier, especially getting out of my "circle." I miss being bolder. I miss talking to Jane. I miss a lot of stuff. Oh, well. What else do you expect from me??

"The Workout"

I love that song, especially "I was dancing with a dirty blond Texan. Charming accent, but the music's playing too loud for talking, so I showed him how people in the Far East get down..."

Heehee.

VOTING DAY! YAY! (Not that any of us here can vote, but still, it's exciting!) I put my hair up in pigtails with red, blue, and white scrunchies, wore my jean jacket with the American flag on the back, put on my new button that says "American ends in I CAN," and hooked onto my belt loop my keychain that says "Howdy from Texas." :P Hmm... Wonder who I'd vote for??

Tired. Was up semi-late talking to Jane, William, and Evan. (And I'm glad I tickle you so, Mr. Marvin!) Happy Amaris. Happy, happy Amaris. :P

I'm bored. Who wants to get together and do something sometime this week? (I prefer Wednesday. Not Thursday or Friday.) We can do a fast-food dinner and rent a movie! PLEASE?!?! I want to talk to people! (And that's rare!) :)

"Monster Mash"

Halloween was SO much fun this year. As was the party, of course, but you can't beat trick-or-treating with a wannabe-Hobbit, a count with a jester's hat, and a Chinese Communist.

First off, though: the party. It rocked, even if I was pandering to the vegetarians. (Thanks for the criticism, Michael.) I was a little worried at first that it would be too boring, but then more people came and the ball started rolling, so to speak. I must say, though, Jane a hermit? I don't believe it! And Ash, I love your Goldfish stash. :)

Then came Halloween night. Ash brought Chris, William, and Lee over and we went around the neighborhood. I wasn't dressed up - just in sweatpants and a baggy shirt; neither was Ash, who borrowed her brother's sword and became a hobbit (sort of...); Lee was the Communist (complete with a little red book); William was the jester/count (and eventually let me wear the hat). We took Chris around, abandoned him at my house, and went walking on our own, where William managed to get all four of us lost in a haunted house. These guys were all dressed up with fake blood and masks, and after one popped out of the darkness, William had to say, "Hi. We're lost. Which way do we go?" IT WAS HILARIOUS! The definite highlight of my night....

Other highlights:
"What are you guys supposed to be - Jehovah's Witnesses?"
"Are you homeless?"
*both of which were asked by people giving out candy*
"They're getting too close! Separate them!"
"We're off to see the Wizard!"
"LOOK! It's a Bush house!" "A what?" "A Bush house!"
"Sarah, do you live in a ghetto neighborhood?"
"The Ultimate Trick-or-Treater: the new reality TV show"
"I'm going to come over and watch Monday Night Football with you tomorrow." "Uhh...Really?"
"Let's kick Sarah!"
Helen Keller jokes!
Lee: "Who taught him how to trick-or-treat?" Ash: "ME!"

Wow. Only Ash and William will get those. Ha. If you want explanations, ask me. :P
